One of the top golfers in Golden Hurricane history, Ron Streck made a sensational debut on the collegiate golf scene with a 73.8 stroke average and a pair of second place finishes his freshman year … had a 72.4 stoke average as a junior and a 71.8 average as a senior … won medalist honors in four of seven tournaments his senior season … played in the NCAA Championship as an individual entry all four seasons … was a four-time All-Missouri Valley Conference selection and twice won the MVC individual title while leading Tulsa to second-place finishes in 1975 and '76 … played professionally and won three PGA tournaments and 12 professional events overall.
