Alexandra Wigington joined The University of Tulsa sports medicine staff as an assistant athletic trainer in March 2022. She is responsible for women’s soccer.
Wigington came to Tulsa following nearly two years as an intern athletic trainer at Stephen F. Austin State University, where she worked with the volleyball and beach volleyball teams.
Before that, Wigington spent two years at South Carolina as a graduate assistant athletic trainer in the equestrian program and campus recreation department. She also assisted with other sports within athletics, such as football as well as providing medical care for athletics sports camps. She assisted with the local USL League 2 team, SC United Bantams, during the summers.
A 2018 graduate of Boise State University, Wigington earned her bachelor's degree in athletic training. She completed her master’s degree at the University of South Carolina in advanced athletic training in May 2020.

Wigington holds various certifications such as Vestibular Rehab and Concussion Management, American Heart Association BLS instructor, Square1, dry needling, blood flow restriction training, and more.
