Amber Fiser enters her first year at Tulsa as part of DJ Gasso's first staff.

Fiser helped the Osprey to the 2025 ASUN regular season and tournament championship, both firsts in program history, with a 47-15 overall record and a 22-2 record in conference play, winning every series and sweeping the tournament. They would go on to eliminate Virginia in the Columbia, S.C. Regional before falling to host South Carolina in the regional finals.

“We are excited to welcome a rising star in this profession with Amber,” said Gasso. “Her experience as an athlete and a young coach is hard to come by. She’s pitched at the highest level this game has to offer and has shown the ability to develop pitchers to individual accolades and a staff to postseason success. I cannot wait to see the impact she makes on this program.”

Fiser helped develop two-way superstar Allison Benning from the circle, who was named ASUN Player, Pitcher and Scholar-Athlete of the Year, as well as a Second Team All-American by Softball America and D1Softball, CSC Second Team Academic All-American and Second Team NFCA All-Region. She also brought in the D1Softball Mid-Major Player of the Year award and was selected as the ASUN's nominee for NCAA Woman of the Year. The senior earned three of the six ASUN Pitcher of the Week awards from the Ospreys in 2025, along with Softball America's National Player of the Week on Feb. 25.

After winning the conference tournament, Kylah Berry joined Benning as ASUN All-Tournament selections with Benning being picked as Tournament MVP. Eight program records on the pitching side were either broken or shared throughout the 2025 season, which is highlighted by most team wins in D-I history (47) and the second all-time perfect game thrown by Benning. Berry also joined Benning through the ASUN postseason with two of the 10 lowest ERAs in the nation. Benning was also one home run away from achieving the first-ever season with 25 wins from the circle and 20 home runs from the plate.

In her first season as an assistant, she helped the team to a 35-19 overall record, as well as a 17-7 conference record, and a runner-up finish in the ASUN Championship tournament. She also assisted in developing five All-ASUN selections in 2024, including First Team & Second Team honoree Benning as a two-way player, as well as Halle Arends as a Third Team All-ASUN pitcher.

Fiser also spent a season as a graduate assistant at Missouri, where the Tigers won 35 games and reached the postseason. In college she was a star at Minnesota, earning All-American honors and was named the 2019 Big Ten Pitcher of the Year. In 2019 as a senior, she led Minnesota to its first Women’s College World Series appearance, throwing every inning in the Regionals and Super Regionals and was a top-25 finalist for the for the USA Softball Player of the Year. She was the No. 5 pick in the 2025 Athletes Unlimited Softball League draft and pitched last season for the OKC Spark, this season she is currently on the roster for the Chicago Bandits.
