Gary Roberts joined The University of Tulsa athletic staff in December 2023 as the department’s first full-time staff clinician.

Previously, Roberts was the director of the Restoring Relations Treatment Facility in Bixby for the apt four years. Before that, he was the director at the Bair Foundation, which is a Christian-based Foster Care & Adoption Center.

Roberts has also served as a therapist for Inspira Mentor and Counseling, where he provided mental health services to children and adults. He also served as director of Emergency Infant Services in Tulsa, executive director at Sequoyah Enterprises in Enid, Okla., director of the Reach Corporation and Substance Abuse Counselor at the Oklahoma Treatment Center in Roland, Okla.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Central Oklahoma and master’s degree in Counseling/Rehab Therapy at Langston University.
