Joao Neves joined the Tulsa men’s soccer staff in January 2026 as a graduate assistant coach.
Neves spent the 2025 season competing for Tulsa, appearing in 11 matches with eight starts for the Golden Hurricane before transitioning into his role on staff. Prior to Tulsa, he played two seasons at NAIA program Oklahoma Wesleyan after beginning his collegiate career with two years at Pratt Community College.
Across his career before arriving at Tulsa, Neves totaled 28 goals and 24 assists in 73 matches played, including 65 starts. While at Oklahoma Wesleyan, he helped lead the Eagles to multiple KCAC conference championships, an NAIA Elite Eight appearance, and a Final Four run following a 17-2-5 campaign.
Neves, a native of São Paulo, Brazil, graduated from Oklahoma Wesleyan University in 2025 with a Bachelor of Science in business communication.
