Ravi Savitala was promoted to director of football operations in January 2019 and handles football operations for the Golden Hurricane.

Previously, Savitala served as assistant director of football operations and recruiting since March 2015. Before that, Savitala spent two years as a volunteer for football operations and recruiting.

Since 2005, Savitala has served on the convention staff during the American Football Coaches Association, supporting all areas dealing with the execution of the national convention.

Prior to joining the Tulsa football staff in 2013, Savitala served internships at the Tulsa County District Attorney’s Office and at the Boesche Legal Clinic, and earned his Juris Doctor from The University of Tulsa College of Law in 2011.

Previously, Savitala worked for various professional sports organizations over a period three years, serving as a staff writer for The Oakland Raiders (NFL) official website, Oakland Raiders PR and legal intern, clubhouse manager for the San Francisco Giants (MLB) Hi-A farm team, senior ticket account executive for the AFL’s Austin Wranglers and player personnel intern for the San Jose SaberCats (AFL).

Savitala earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of California Santa Cruz in Legal Studies and History in 2000, and his master’s degree in 2004 from Baylor University in Education.
