Tulsa Women's Soccer Team Drops Nevada, 3-0

Tulsa, Oklahoma - The Tulsa women's soccer team scored one first half goal and added two more scores in the second half to post a 3-0 shutout victory over Nevada in Western Athletic Conference play at McAuliffe Field.
Tulsa senior Julie Davidson led the Hurricane attack, collecting two assists on the first two goals of the game. With the two assists, Davidson moved into ninth place among Tulsa's all-time assist leaders with 11 for her career. She is currently tied with former Hurricane standouts Amy Edwards (1988-91) and Amber Farr (1995-98).
Davidson picked up her first assist of the game when she sent a pass to a junior Melissa McCormick, who notched the first goal of the game after beating Nevada goalkeeper Chantal Reyna in a one-one-one battle at the 29:34 minute mark.
In the second half, sophomore Emily Trost increased TU's lead to 2-0 when she headed in a Davidson corner kick at the 52:55 mark. A little under eight minutes later, sophomore Marcie Ferguson headed in a crossing pass from freshman Angie Bowman at the 60:10 minute mark.
TU freshman goalkeeper Pam Devore earned her sixth shutout of the season and is now tied with former Hurricane Amanda Wallace (1999) for fourth place among the school's career saves leaders with 87.
