Tulsa Drops Game To Fresno State, 34-12

FRESNO, Calif. (AP) - David Carr threw a career-high four touchdown passes and finished with 249 yards as Fresno State beat Tulsa 34-12 on Saturday night.
Carr's scoring passes all came in the first half as Fresno (4-3, 3-1 Western Athletic) took a 34-6 lead.
Carr, who completed 16 of 23 attempts, threw a 20-yard scoring pass to Charles Smith, and a 71-yarder to Bernard Berrian to give the Bulldogs a 15-0 lead in the first quarter.
Tulsa (3-6, 2-3) cut it to 15-6 in the second on Donte Hart's 4-yard run. But Fresno scored 19 points in the final 8:48 of the half.
Bryce McGill blocked a punt for a safety, Asen Asparuhov kicked a 25-yard field goal, and Carr teamed with Smith and Deandre Gilbert on touchdown passes.
Tulsa backup quarterback Michael Wall scored on a 5-yard run in the fourth quarter.
