TU Men's Tennis Earns Split with Ivy League Schools

Tulsa, Oklahoma - The Tulsa men's tennis team earned a split against Ivy League members Harvard and Dartmouth in a doubleheader this past weekend on the campus of Harvard University. The 52nd-ranked Crimson upset the 29th-ranked Golden Hurricane in the first match, but Tulsa rebounded in the evening contest with a 6-1 victory against Dartmouth.
Against Harvard, Tulsa claimed victories at the top and bottom doubles matches to secure the doubles points. As both teams settled into singles play, TU looked to have the match within its grasp after juniors Pawel Sebastyanski and Dane McGregor posted wins at the top two singles contests.
Down 3-0, Harvard rallied to pull off the unthinkable. The Crimson captured the four remaining singles matches for a 4-3 come-from-behind victory.
Later in the evening, Tulsa returned to the hardcourts and made quick work out of Dartmouth. Although TU dropped two of the three doubles matches to hand Dartmouth the all-important doubles point, Tulsa stormed back and swept the singles rounds. Sebastyanski and McGregor, along with sophomore Steve Timperley, freshman Alejandro Tejerina, senior Micah Zomer and junior Sean Monk, all claimed singles wins
