Tulsa Promotes Smith as Head Equipment Manager

Tulsa, Oklahoma - University of Tulsa appointed Eric Smith to the position of head athletic equipment manager, as announced today by TU's Director of Athletics Judy MacLeod.
Smith, 29, has served as assistant equipment manager for the past two years. He will oversee the entire athletic equipment operation for Tulsa's 18 intercollegiate sports and will be directly responsible for football and men's basketball.
Before coming to Tulsa in July 1999, Smith served as an equipment manager intern for one year at the University of Southern Mississippi (USM), where he was responsible for women's basketball and softball. Previously, he was the head student equipment manager for football at USM for three years.
Smith earned his bachelor's degree from USM in sports administration in 1998.
