Tulsa's Brogden Named Central Region Coach of the Year

Tulsa, Oklahoma - University of Tulsa Men's Golf Coach Bill Brogden was selected as the Central Region Coach of the Year it was announced today by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).

Brogden recently completed his 16th season as the Hurricane head coach, and led his team to a school-best ninth-place finish at the NCAA Championships. Tulsa won two tournaments this season including the school's first Western Athletic Conference Championship.

His team placed third at the NCAA Central Regional, thus qualifying for the NCAA Championships.

In his 32 years of collegiate coaching, Brogden has taken teams to national competition 27 times and to the NCAA Championships 16 times. Brogden has earned conference coach of the year accolades 10 times, has been inducted into the GCAA Hall of Fame, has coached 22 All-Americans and has won 13 conference championships.
