Tulsa Cross Country Opens With Hurricane Cross Country Festival

Tulsa, Okla. - The University of Tulsa cross country teams will open their respective seasons at the Hurricane Cross Country Festival on Saturday morning, August 31. The race will be held at Mohawk Park, with the men starting at 8:30 a.m. and the women starting at 9:00 a.m. Both teams will compete against teams from Southwest Missouri State and Oral Roberts, as the men will run a 4-mile race and the women will run a two-mile race.

The festival will begin with an open run at 8:00 a.m. for the public, followed by the two collegiate races. Starting at 9:30 a.m., high school and junior high school teams will race. High school freshmen will be the first race, followed by sophomores, juniors and seniors. The junior high school teams will conclude the day with a 10:50 race. The high school boys will run two-miles, while the girls will run one-mile. Both the junior high school boys and girls will run one-mile.
