TULSA, Okla. (AP) - Antonio Reed scored 10 of his 12 points in the final 8:16 to rescue Tulsa in a 68-61 victory over Louisiana Tech Thursday night.
There were 14 ties and 12 lead changes, the last coming on a floater by Reed that put Tulsa ahead 59-58 with 3:58 to play.
Dante Swanson followed with a slam dunk on a backdoor cut and Reed hit on another drive to give Tulsa a 63-58 advantage at 1:57.
The Bulldogs made just one basket in the final five minutes. Louisiana Tech (5-8, 2-4 Western Athletic Conference) has now lost four consecutive games for the first time since 1998.
Charlie Davis led Tulsa (11-4, 4-2 WAC) with 14 points and Jarius Glenn added 11.
Antonio Meeking scored 20 points and had eight rebounds for Louisiana Tech.
Tulsa made just 8 of 21 field goals in the first half but still managed a 31-30 halftime advantage thanks to 14-of-17 shooting from the free-throw line.
Tulsa shot just 41 percent for the game (21 of 51) but made 24 of 31 free throws to 11 of 14 for Louisiana Tech.
