Kilian Leads Comeback Win

HOUSTON (AP) - James Kilian threw a 31-yard touchdown pass to Jermaine Landrum with 57 seconds left as Tulsa beat Rice 31-28 on Saturday.
Tulsa (6-4, 4-2 WAC) had fallen behind 28-24 when Rice's Greg Henderson scored on a 4-yard touchdown run with 8:03 left. Clifford Sparks recovered a fumble at the Tulsa 21 to set up Henderson's touchdown.
Kilian then led a 12-play, 71-yard drive for the winning score. He was 3-for-5 for 51 yards on the drive.
Rice (2-7, 2-3) lost the ball on the ensuing kickoff when Will Galusha fumbled after a 22-yard return.
Kilian finished 18-of-30 for 195 yards and two touchdowns and three interceptions. Eric Richardson led Tulsa in rushing with 86 yards and two touchdowns on 12 carries.
Ed Bailey ran 20 times for 93 yards and a touchdown for Rice.
Rice led 14-10 at halftime, but in the third quarter Richardson got loose for a 21-yard touchdown run and Kilian hit Garrett Mills for a 23-yard score to put Tulsa up 24-14.
The Owls got within 24-21 on Adam Herrin's 35-yard interception return late in the third quarter.
