WAC Announces Women's Soccer All-Academic Honors

Tulsa, Okla. - The 2002 academic All-Western Athletic Conference women's soccer team was announced by the conference office. Five student-athletes, of the 57 named to the team, were from The University of Tulsa, making TU the fourth highest represented school in the WAC.
To be eligible, a student-athlete must have completed at least one academic year, have at least a 3.2 grade point average and have participated in fifty percent or more of the team's contests.
Seniors Julie Twellman and Elizabeth Benoist are three-time members of the WAC All-Academic team, while Twellman is a three-time member of the Verizon Academic All-District At-Large First Team. They have also been named to the TU Athletic Director's Honor Roll and Dean's List.
Emily Trost and Keely Flynn, juniors on the team, picked up their second selection to the WAC All-Academic team, while sophomore Alexis Arment was named to the team for the first time. Trost, Flynn and Arment have also been named to the TU Athletic Director's Honor Roll, as well as the Dean's List.
