TULSA, Okla. (AP) - Guilherme Teichmann scored 15 of his career-high 24 points in the second half to help Tulsa rally past Louisiana Tech 80-70 on Saturday and give Tulsa its second win in 11 games.
Teichmann, a 6-foot-9 junior forward from Brazil in his first season at Tulsa, also had 10 rebounds - all in the second half. He entered the game averaging only 5.1 points and 5.9 rebounds.
Teichmann's second-half effort eclipsed his previous scoring high of 14 points in the season opener against Northwestern (La.) State.
"I wish he would do that more often," Tulsa coach John Phillips said. "I know he's capable of it. Sometimes he thinks too much and loses his confidence too quickly. We need him to play like that to be a good team."
Jarius Glenn added 15 points and Jason Parker scored 12 for the Golden Hurricane (9-19, 5-13 WAC), which snapped a five-game home losing streak in the last game of regular season play for both teams.
Paul Millsap paced the Bulldogs (14-14, 8-10) with 23 points, including 17 in the second half. He also had 10 rebounds, just below his NCAA-leading average of 12.4.
Donell Allick, who was 4-of-8 on three pointers, added 18 points. He scored 16 in the first half to help the Bulldogs take a 39-36 lead at the half.
Tulsa, trailed by 12 points late in the first half but took a 44-43 lead on Teichmann's dunk with 17:36 left. The Hurricane had not led in the second half of its last four home games.
