Tulsa, Oklahoma - University of Tulsa senior golfer David Inglis was named to the PING Honorable Mention All-America team as announced today by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).
Inglis burst onto the collegiate golf scene as a freshman in the 2000-01 season and earned second-team All-America honors. He also garnered second-team All-America accolades again last year as a junior.
This year, Inglis placed among the top-10 six times and had nine top-20 performances in his 12 tournaments. He had three first-place finishes and completed the year with a 72.0 stroke average. Inglis was selected to the Central Region's PING All-Region team for the second straight season.
At the WAC Championships this season, Inglis became just the second male golfer in the history of collegiate golf to win a fourth consecutive conference title. He carded a four-under par 209 at the par-71 San Joaquin Country Club in Fresno, California on May 3-5, to win an unprecedented fourth WAC title. The only other collegian to win four straight league titles was Texas' Justin Leonard.
In his career, Inglis had 38 top-20 finishes, and 30 top-10 performances in 52 tournaments. He finished among the top-5 in 23 events, and won eight career tournaments. Inglis also earned first-team all-WAC accolades in each of his four seasons and was named WAC Player of the Week 10 times in his four years.
