Tulsa Golfers in 11th Place at Notre Dame Invitational

Tulsa sophomore Brett Myers is in 19th place after two rounds at the Notre Dame Invitational.

Notre Dame, Indiana - Tulsa improved 10 strokes from the first day to score a second round 301 on Saturday at the Notre Dame Invitational on the par-70 Warren Golf Course. The Hurricane moved into 11th place with a two-round total of 612.

Sophomores Brett Myers and Ryan Henry turned in the best rounds for the Hurricane with identical three-over par 73. Myers is in 19th place with a 149 score, while Henry is in 43rd place with a 32-hole total of 154.

Rounding out Tulsa's scores are Sam Korbe's 157 for 58th place, Mitch Cohlmia's 158 total for 60th place and Tully Coyle is in 76th place with a total of 163.

Kent State continues to lead the team race with a round of 293 today for a 580 total, holding an 11 stroke lead over second-place Colorado (591). Rounding out the top-5 is Michigan State (592), Texas Tech (593) and Indiana and Notre Dame (598), tied for fifth place.

Individually, Kent State's Steve Lohmeyer overtook his teammate Ryan Yip for first place after two rounds. Lohmeyer carded an even-par 70 today, while Yip, who scored 68 on Friday, tallied a round of 72 today.

The tournament will conclude on Sunday with the final 18 holes.
