Golden Hurricane Fall To Wolf Pack

TULSA, Okla. (AP) - Nick Fazekas scored a career-high 33 points and Kevin Pinkney added 21 as Nevada kept Tulsa winless in the Western Athletic Conference with a 75-69 victory Thursday night.
Fazekas and Pinkney spurred an 18-7 run in the second half after Nevada (13-4, 5-1 WAC) led 29-27 at intermission.
With Tulsa trailing 33-31, Anthony Price was fouled while shooting and Pinkney was hit with a technical foul for slamming the ball.
Price and Seneca Collins combined to miss all four free throws.
A short time later, the Golden Hurricane (3-12, 0-6 WAC) took a 35-34 lead, but the momentum shifted and Nevada took control for good.
McDade pulled Tulsa within 59-53 with a three-point play with 6:21 left, but Fazekas and Pinkney scored on consecutive possessions to push the lead to 63-53. Nevada weathered a late barrage by Brett McDade, who scored 10 points in the final 1:03.
Price led Tulsa with 18 points, McDade had a career-high 17 points and Jarius Glenn had 15 points and eight rebounds as Tulsa lost at home for the seventh time in nine games.
Nevada controlled the boards 34-27 and forced Tulsa into 16 turnovers.
