FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP) - The University of Tulsa men's basketball team used double-figure scoring performances by four players and a 45-37 rebounding advantage for a 63-58 victory at Northern Arizona on Tuesday.
Senior Anthony Price scored 13 points to lead the Golden Hurricane, while freshman Ray Reese and sophomore Brett McDade each added 11 points.
Junior Charles Ramsdell finished with 10 points and a team-high eight rebounds for the Golden Hurricane (2-4). Sophomore Dion James also contributed eight rebounds, while Price added another seven boards to the mix.
Tulsa led 31-23 at halftime and held off the Lumberjacks from there. After TU stretched its lead to as many as 15 in the second half, NAU cut the lead to one at 58-57, with 2:52 left. However, the Hurricane allowed only a Lumberjack free throw the rest of the way for the win. Price had all five of TU's final points, includinig three free throws in the final eight seconds of the contest.
Kelly Golob paced Northern Arizona (4-4) with 15 points. Steve Sir had 14 points and Tyrone Bazy 12 for the Lumberjacks.
