Tulsa Struggles in Second Round at the NCAA Championships

Sunriver, Oregon - The Tulsa women's golf team carded 313 in the second round on Wednesday during a windy afternoon at the NCAA Women's Golf National Championship. The Hurricane sits in 23rd place with a 620 total after the first 36 holes of the 72-hole tournament at the par 71 Meadows Golf Course at the Sunriver Resort.
Pepperdine and Auburn moved into a first-place tie with an 18-over par 586 total. Pepperdine carded the day's best round of 295, while Auburn fired a round of 296. UCLA is in third place with a 590 total, followed by California (594) and Duke (595) rounding out the top-five teams.
Arkansas sits in eighth place with a 603 total, while Oklahoma State is in 10th place with a 604 total.
Among Tulsa's four counting scores on Wednesday, only two were sub-80 scores. Freshman Leisl Hasbrouck turned in the best score of the day for the Hurricane with a four-over par 75 for a 154 total and sits in 70th place. Junior Cas Bridge fired a round of 77 and sits in 78th place with a score of 155.
Senior Lee-Anne Pace and freshman Michaela Cavener sit in 94th place with 157 totals, while freshmna Polly Travica is in 113th place with a score of 160.
Play will continue on Thursday with 18 holes.
