Tulsa Golfers in Eighth Place at NCAA Central Regional

South Bend, Indiana - Tulsa began the day at 6:45 am, as the Hurricane played the par-71 Warren Golf Course to complete a suspended first round. Tulsa began the day as the leader on the course when play was suspended Thursday night due to darkness, but ended the first round with a seven-over par score of 287.

Tulsa began is second round competition at 8:42 am, teeing off at the 10th hole and playing the back-nine holes first. The Hurricane finished the second round with a 294 score, 14-over par, for a 21-over par 36 hole total of 581 to tie with Texas A&M for eighth place.

The nation's number one-ranked Oklahoma State Cowboys lead the 54-hole event with a five-over par 565 total, after tallying a second round score of 283 today. Augusta State is in second place at 568, followed by Missouri (578) in third, Purdue (579) in fourth place, and Texas, Kentucky and Wichita State (580) tie for fifth place.

Only nine strokes separate 14 teams, from third-place through 16th place, heading into final round action on Saturday.

The Hurricane had three golfers score three-over par 73's today for the best Tulsa scores, including Ryan Henry, Sam Korbe and Brett Myers. Henry has Tulsa's best score after 36 holes with a five-over par 145 score, followed by Korbe and Mitch Cohlmia sitting one stroke back at six-over par 146. Cohlmia fired a round of 75 today.

Austin Hackett has a 147 total for 52nd place after today's round of 76, while Brett Myers is in a tie for 63rd place with a 149 total.

Final round competition takes place on Saturday. The top-10 teams will advance to the NCAA Championships, June 1-4, in Owings, Maryland.
