Tulsa, Oklahoma - The Tulsa football team went through its second day of preseason workouts Sunday afternoon in helmets and shorts at Harwell field.
"I thought we battled through the heat, but the guys are doing a good job. They're working hard. I think they're ready to get the pads on and start to play some football," said Head Coach Steve Kragthorpe.
"Our main emphasis has been on fundamentals, technique, communication, getting everybody lined up, everybody on the same page and headed in the right direction, and for the most part I think guys are doing that," added Kragthorpe.
"I'm pleased with the progress the new guys have made so far. There's a lot of learning going on right now, and they're starting to get to where the carry over from practice to practice will take place," said Kragthorpe. "They'll start to see the pieces of the puzzle fit together from a schematic standpoint of why we do this and why we do that, and that's real beneficial for them because then it really starts to make sense."
Tulsa is back on the practice field Monday afternoon.
