Stillwater, Oklahoma - The Oklahoma State Cowgirls scored two first half goals and added four more scores in the second half to hand the Tulsa women's soccer team a 6-1 loss at the Cowgirl Soccer Facility on Sunday.

Oklahoma State's (7-0-2) Jesyca Rosholt keyed the OSU attack with three goals. Rosholt tallied one score in the first half and registered two more goals in the second half to turn the hat trick. Tulsa dropped to 2-4-2 on the year.

Oklahoma State opened the first two minutes of each half with a goal and tallied three goals during the first 15 minutes of the second period. Yolanda Odenyo gave the Cowgirls a 3-1 lead when she recorded an unassisted goal just 2:18 into the second half.

Rosholt picked up her second score at the 59th minute when she knocked a shot past TU sophomore goalkeeper Meredith Hart and put her team up 4-0. Odenyo and Ashlyn Brantley each earned an assist on the goal.

After picking up an assist on OSU's previous goal, Brantley got into the scoring frenzy 0:43 later when she scored her third goal of the year at 59:43. Rosholt picked up the assist on the score.

Rosholt put up her third goal and the final score of the game at the 65:55 minute mark to give OSU a 6-1 advantage. Feldbacher was credited with the assist on the score.

Both teams came out firing during the opening minutes of the first half, as Tulsa and OSU combined for three goals in the first six minutes of the game. Oklahoma State took the opening kickoff and immediately put pressure on the Tulsa defense. Following a corner kick, OSU put up its first goal of the game when Angelika Feldbacher centered a shot and drilled into the back of the net just 1:55 into the contest. Jamie Markaverich picked up the assist on the score.

The Golden Hurricane responded and briefly tied the game less than four minutes later when freshman Jennifer Kacergis chalked up her fourth goal of year with a first half score at the 5:05 minute mark. Kacergis' goal was just the third goal scored against the Cowgirls this season and it also snapped OSU's three-game shutout streak.

However, the Cowgirls answered 0:19 later when Rosholt rebounded a missed shot by teammate Sasa Jackson and stuck the carom into the back of the net at 5:24. OSU led at halftime, 2-1.
