Birmingham, Alabama - The Tulsa men's golf team finished in 11th place at the Jerry Pate National Intercollegiate on Tuesday. The Hurricane carded a final round three-under par 281 and finished the tournament with a two-under par 850 score at the par 71 Old Overton Golf Club.
Tulsa senior Mitch Cohlmia finished in 27th place with a one-under par 212 total, after today's round of 73. Fellow junior Sam Korbe turned in a round of 70 today to finish at even-par 213 for 32nd place, while senior Brett Myers finished in 38th place with a two-over par 215 total.
Senior Ryan Henry turned in Tulsa's best round today with a five-under par 66 to finish in a 46th place tie with sophomore teammate Nicolas Geyger. The pair finished the 54-hole tournament with totals of 218.
Alabama led from start to finish claiming a seven-stroke victory with a 33-under par score of 819. Texas Tech finished in second place at 826, followed by Texas (828), BYU (830) and Georgia State (833) to round out the top-5 teams.
Alabama's Joseph Sykora sued a fix-under par 65 to finish with a 14-under par 199 score to claim the individual title.
Tulsa is back in action next at the Oklahoma Intercollegiate, October 15-17.
