Tulsa Post Game Notes
• Tulsa's 4-1 record is the best start since the 1982 season.• Cauvey Jackson's 59-yard run in the first quarter was his career long, giving him five career rushing touchdown. It was the longest rushing touchdown since a 63 yard rushing touchdown by Tarrion Adams against Fresno State in the Liberty Bowl.
• Bobby Blackshire's interception in the first quarter was his third of the season and seventh of his career.
• Courtney Tennial's fumble in the first quarter was Tulsa's first fumble lost of the year. TU was ranked first in the nation in fewest fumbles lost.
• Courtney Tennial's 33-yard run in the second quarter was his career long run, his previous long was 29.
• After scoring 41 points in the first half of the first two games, Tulsa has only amassed 21 points in the first half of the last three games, 7 in each game.
• Tulsa's seniors, Nick Bunting and Jeff Perrett have started in 40 straight games. Their streaks began on September 20, 2003, against Arkansas State.
• Nelson Coleman had his second game this year with double figure tackles, and the ninth of his career.

• Nick Bunting's 11 tackles moved him into ninth place surpassing Xavier Warren (1983-86) giving him 284 tackles.

Southern Miss Notes
Tonight marks the sixth meeting between Southern Miss and Tulsa, the first meeting in Oklahoma since 1993. With tonight's 20-6 loss Southern Miss is 2-3-1.
Southern Miss saw its three-game winning streak come to an end tonight. The Golden Eagles are now 3-2 overall, 1-1 in Conference USA on the season.
Tonight marked the second of two-consecutive Tuesday night games for Southern Miss. Since 1912, Southern Miss is 5-4 with a win on Tuesday nights, including a 4-2 mark during Head Coach Jeff Bower's tenure.
Damion Fletcher ran for 112 yards on 25 carries tonight, four the fourth-consecutive 100-yard game of his career (116, Southeastern La. (9-9-06), 177, NC State (9-16-06), 109, UCF (9-26-06). Fletcher becomes the first Golden Eagle running back to rush for over 100 yards in four-consecutive games since Derrick Nix accomplished it for the final three games of the 1998 season, 129 against Houston (11-7-98), 184 against Memphis (11-14-98) and 219 against Nevada (11-21-98) and the first game of the 1999 season, 167 against Tulane (9-6-99). Had bowl statistics counted from the 1998 season, Nix would have ran for four straight to close 1998, as he posted 122 yards against Idaho in the 1998 Humanitarian Bowl. Fletcher becomes the first Golden Eagle runner to run for four-consecutive 100-yard performances in a season since Sam DeJarnette in 1982, 108, against Mississippi State (10-9-82), 176 against Tulane (10-16-82), 115 against Louisville (10-23-82) and 179 against Louisiana-Lafayette (10-30-82).
Stephen Reaves had his career-best performance as a Golden Eagle tonight, completing 11-27 passes for 98 yards, breaking his 86-yard passing performance against Southeastern La. (9/6/06). His passing yardages was the second most of his career, behind only his 183-yard performance against Central Michigan (9/11/04). His attempts were a career-high, breaking his 20 attempt against Notre Dame (9/18/04).
Jeremy Young threw an interception in the first quarter tonight, his first in three games, after throwing three in the season-opening game at Florida. He completed 3-12 passes for 25 yards in tonight's game.
Martavius Prince recovered a fumble in the first quarter, the first of his career. It was the team's third fumble recovery of the season.
Darren McCaleb connected on a 36-yard field goal and a 29-yarder in the second quarter. He is now 61-74 on field goals in his career and 8-10 on the season.
The Golden Eagle defense capitalized on a fumble recovery in the first quarter, turning it into three points. Southern Miss has now forced 10 turnovers on the season, turning those into 50 points.
Josh Barnes caught a season-high four passes for 37 yards tonight, breaking his previous high of two in the season-opening game against Florida (9/2/06).
Conrad Chanove caught a career-best two passes for nine yards tonight.
Junior Ryan Watson made his first career start at nose tackle tonight, finishing with three total tackles (one solo, two assists).
Gerald McRath finished with a career-high 10 tackles tonight (six solos, four assists). It marked the first time a Southern Miss defender finished with over 10 tackles in a game this season.
Martavius Prince finished with one tackle for loss tonight and has posted at least one tackle for loss in each game this season. He leads the team with eight tackles for loss.
Offensive lineman George Batiste made his 40th straight start tonight.
Tonight marks Southern Miss' lowest point output in a Conference USA game since winning 3-0 over UAB in Hattiesburg (9/29/01). The six points marked the fewest since the team scored three against Alabama (10/16/04).
Tonight also marks Southern Miss' first game without a touchdown since the dropping falling 27-3 at Alabama (10/16/04).
Southern Miss was penalized one time tonight, the fewest times it has been penalized in a league game dating back to 1996.
Southern Miss is now 43-22 all-time in televised games, including a 36-31 mark on television under Head Coach Jeff Bower. Southern Miss is now 20-17 on televised road games all-time, including a 18-16 mark under Bower.
Southern Miss finished with a season low 243 yards of total offense tonight, breaking the previous low of 273 last Tuesday against UCF.
