Tulsa Freshman Geyger Named C-USA Golfer of the Week

Tulsa freshman Nicolas Geyger was named the Conference USA Golfer of the Week for his performance at the Courtyard by Marriott Intercollegiate.

Irving, Texas - Tulsa freshman Nicolas Geyger (Santiago, Chile) was named the Conference USA Golfer of the Week it was announce d today by the league office.

Geyger carded an eight-under par 208 (70-71-67) to place second out of a field of 78 golfers at the Courtyard by Marriott Intercollegiate last week.

For the tournament, Geyger shot nine-under par on holes 15 through 18 with nine birdie putts and three even-par holes to lead TU to a seventh-place team finish.

It was the freshman's best outing to date and his fourth Top 20 finish in his last five tournaments. Geyger becomes the fourth different Golden Hurricane player to earn C-USA Golfer of the Week honors.
