Turowski Earns C-USA Cross Country Athlete of the Week

Junior Brett Turowski earned the C-USA Athlete of the Week honor following the season opener.

Tulsa, Oklahoma - The University of Tulsa's Brett Turowski was named the Conference USA men's cross country Athlete of the Week following a second-place finish at the Hurricane Cross Country Festival on the opening weekend of the season.

Turowski, a junior from Bartlesville, finished a mere three-seconds off the winning pace, clocking a time of 20:26 in the four-mile race.

He helped lead the men's squad to a second-place finish overall, just three points behind the meet winner Oklahoma.

The Golden Hurricane will next be in action on September 16 when they travel to Joplin, Mo., to run at the Southern Stampede hosted by Missouri Southern State University.
