Irving, Texas - University of Tulsa senior golfer Mitch Cohlmia (Tulsa, Okla./Jenks HS) was named the Conference USA Golfer of the Week as it was announced today by the league office. Cohlmia shared the honor this week with SMU's Colt Knost.

Cohlmia used a second round eight-under par 64 to move into a first-place tie at the Courtyard by Marriott Intercollegiate last Friday, and held on to win the individual title by shooting an even-par 72 for the final 18 holes to claim his second tournament crown of the season.

Cohlmia carded rounds of 72-64-72 for an eight-under par 208 and won by one stroke in a field of 81 golfers on the par-72 Devils Ridge Golf Club course in Holly Springs, North Carolina.

It's the second time that Cohlmia has earned the award this year and the eighth time a Tulsa golfer has won the weekly honor. Three Hurricane golfers have won the award twice, including Cohlmia, Brett Myers and Ryan Henry.
