Tulsa's Cunningham Announces Promotions

Tulsa, Oklahoma - University of Tulsa Director of Athletics Bubba Cunningham announced reorganization within the athletic department.
Cunningham has promoted three staff members to Associate Athletics Director roles as Don Tomkalski was named Associate Athletics Director for Communications; Liz Jarnigan to Associate Athletics Director for Student Services; and, Ross Parmley to Associate Athletics Director for Administration and Operations. Associate Athletic Director and Senior Woman Administrator Crista Troester's responsibilities will now include compliance.
Jarnigan begins her seventh year at Tulsa after spending the first six years as Coordinator for Student Services with responsibilities in academics and compliance. She will now supervise the academic and student services program for the Tulsa athletic department.
Parmley is in his third year with the Golden Hurricane athletic department. He first came to TU as Director of Football Operations in 2005 and a year later was promoted to Assistant Athletics Director for Football Operations. His new responsibilities will include overseeing the business operations for the department as well as game management.
Tomkalski, who is entering his 24th year at Tulsa, will now oversee marketing and the game day experience in addition to his media relations responsibilities.
"These staff members have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to student-athletes and the university and recognizing them with promotions will continue to help raise our service to students, staff and fans," said Cunningham. "It is a privilege to work with such energetic and enthusiastic staff members."
In addition, Nick Salis and Sam Purcell move over from basketball to administration. Salis has been a graduate manager for the men's basketball program the past two seasons, while Purcell has spent the past two years as an assistant women's basketball coach.
Salis will serve as Director of Operations, while Purcell will serve as Assistant to the Athletics Director.
