Tulsa Men's Golfers Finish 13th at Rio Pinar Invitational

Orlando, Florida - The Tulsa men's golf team finished in 13th place at the Rio Pinar Invitational on Tuesday, after carding a final round of 293 for a 54-hole total of 879 at the par-72 Rio Pinar Golf and Country Club in Orlando, Fla.
UCF won the team title with an 18-under par 846 total, followed by Wichita State (858), Louisville (859), Mississippi (862) and North Florida (867) to round out the top-five teams.
Tulsa sophomore Rob Laird finished 19th overall with a score of 216 after today's team-best round of 70. Junior Ryan Brooks and sophomore Jake Chominsky tallied three-round 220 totals to tie for 37th-place, while freshman Ville Vaisanen registered a 223 total for 56th-place. Nicolas Geyger had a 229 score to finish 77th overall.
Individually, the Knight's Greg Forest and Mike Stern tied for first place with 11-under par 205 scores.
Tulsa will be in action next at the General Jim Hackler Invitational on March 9-10 at Myrtle Beach, S.C.
