  • Tulsa's game captains were Mike Bryan and G.J. Kinne.

  • Sophomore linebacker John Flanders recorded his first career fumble recovery at the 12:33 mark of the second quarter.
  • True freshman receiver Ricky Johnson scored his second career touchdown at the 0:22 mark of the second quarter on a 14-yard pass from Kinne. It was his second consecutive game with a touchdown reception.
  • Sophomore kicker Kevin Fitzpatrick booted a career long 51-yard field goal at the 11:21 mark of the third quarter. It was the 12th longest field in Tulsa history. Fitzpatrick's previous long was 41 yards in last year's season opener against UAB (8/30/08).
  • Sophomore Damaris Johnson tallied 177 kickoff yards on five attempts moving him from eighth to sixth place on C-USA's career kickoff return yards chart. He now has 2,257 career kickoff yards.
  • Johnson compiled 319 all-purpose yards. It was his second career game with 300 or more all-purpose yards including last week's 324 yards against Houston. Johnson has totaled 200 or more all-purpose yards in six games this season and in 12 of 24 career games.
  • Johnson moved into seventh place on C-USA's career all-purpose yards chart. He now has 2,200 career all-purpose yards.
  • Johnson caught a career high 14 passes and tallied 135 yards. It was his seventh career 100-yard receiving game and fifth of the season.
  • True freshman Dexter McCoil had a team-leading 13 tackles surpassing his previous career high of 11 against Boise State (10/14/09).
  • Tulsa's 30 yards on 31 carries is the lowest rushing output of the season. The previous low was 88 yards on 26 carries against Boise State (10/14/09).
  • The last time Tulsa lost five consecutive games was between the 2002 and 2003 seasons as part of a six-game losing streak.
  • The last time Tulsa lost five consecutive games in a season was the 2002 season when the team opened up with seven consecutive losses.
  • The last time Tulsa lost four consecutive home games was between the 2001 and 2002 seasons.
