Lettermen's Association Hosted First Letter Award Presentation

Tulsa, Okla. - The TU Lettermen's Association hosted the first TU Student-Athlete Letter Award Presentation on October 19, 2009 at 6:30 p.m. in the ONEOK Club Lounge located in H.A. Chapman Stadium. The evening began with a welcome from Director of Athletics Bubba Cunningham, followed by remarks from TU Lettermen's Association President Kate Jones and former Football letterwinner Paul Smith.
Nine Golden Hurricane athletic programs were represented with Letter jackets and blankets given out by Women's Basketball Coach Charlene Thomas-Swinson, Assistant Football Coach Jess Loepp, Men's Soccer Coach Tom McIntosh, Women's Soccer Coach Kyle Cussen, Men's and Women's Track & Field/Cross Country Coach Steve Gulley, and Volleyball Coach Ed Allen. In all, over 50 student-athletes received their Varsity Letter Award for the first time during this special evening.
The Spring Student-Athlete Letter Award Presentation will take place in March 2010.
