HOMECOMING THIS WEEK: TU Letterwinner’s Association Hosting “Get TUgether for TU Homecoming” Events

TULSA, Okla. –– The TU Letterwinner's Association (TULA) will host the "Get TUgether for TU Homecoming" this October leading up to the Homecoming game against Cincinnati on October 17.

Due to CoVID-19, TULA is changing its Annual Homecoming Golf Tournament this year to two events, including one virtual and one live event.

The live event is scheduled for Friday, October 16 from 4-7 pm at Golf Suites, formerly Flying Tee (600 Riverwalk Terrace, Jenks, Okla.). The event is free to all active TULA lifetime or annual members and features food, drinks, golf, games, giveaways and prizes. Deadline to pre-register at letterwinners@utulsa.edu is October 11.

The Golf Suites event will also feature a 2-person team, 9-hole virtual scramble. Those planning on participating in that portion of the live event must also re-register at letterwinners@utulsa.edu.

The virtual event is "Play A Round with Letterwinner's Virtual Golf Tournament". To participate, TULA members need to post pictures of themselves golfing in TU apparel to social media using the hashtags #TULetterwinners, #VirtualHomecoming2020 and #ReignCane during Homecoming week (Oct. 12-18). The pictures must be taken at a golf course with members in Tulsa gear to earn a raffle entry for TU apparel. Winners will be announced on Monday, October 19.

If you are not a current member of the TU Letterwinner's Association, sign up and earn one ticket for the raffle, or become a lifetime member and earn 10 tickets. The raffle prizes include $250 worth of gift cards to the TU Bookstore, which can be used online.

For the in-person event at Golf Suites, proper safety guidelines, including masks, temperature check-in, hand washing and social distancing per Tulsa Health Department guidelines will be followed.
