Inaugural QuikTrip’s Battle For the Big Q Set for September 11 Featuring Bixby and Jenks

TULSA, Okla. – The University of Tulsa, in partnership with QuikTrip, is proud to announce a new high school football showcase series that will bring some of Oklahoma's premier football programs to H.A. Chapman Stadium over the coming seasons.
Created to celebrate the tradition, success and excellence of high school football throughout the state, the new partnership series will provide student-athletes the opportunity to compete in a collegiate atmosphere while highlighting QuikTrip's longstanding commitment to the Tulsa community alongside Tulsa Golden Hurricane Athletics.
The inaugural game of the QuikTrip's Battle for the Big Q will feature one of Oklahoma's most anticipated rivalry matchups as Bixby High School and Jenks High School meet on Friday, Sept. 11, 2026, at H.A. Chapman Stadium on the campus of The University of Tulsa.
Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
The series will feature multiple high school football games over the next several seasons, bringing marquee programs and compelling matchups to one of the region's premier football venues. Additional game announcements and future schedules will be released at a later date.
The inaugural Battle of the Big Q between Bixby and Jenks showcases two of the most successful and tradition-rich programs in Oklahoma high school football history. Bixby enters the contest having captured eight consecutive state championships, including each of the past four seasons since moving to Class 6A-I. Jenks is coming off a 10-2 campaign in 2025 and advanced to the Class 6A-I semifinals, further adding to the anticipation surrounding one of the state's premier rivalry matchups.
