TULSA, Okla. – Tulsa Athletics is proud to announce a naming rights gift with nationally recognized radio personality, entertainer, and philanthropist Bobby Bones that will bring a unique addition to the experience at the Collins Family Softball Complex.
Beginning with the 2027 season, the left field home run area will officially be known as the "Bobby Bones Home Run Boneyard," creating a distinctive destination for Golden Hurricane softball fans and celebrating one of the sport's most exciting moments, a home run.
"We are thrilled to partner with Bobby Bones and welcome him to the Tulsa Athletics family," said Tulsa Vice President and Director of Athletics Justin Moore. "Bobby's passion for sports, commitment to giving back, and ability to connect with fans make this a tremendous fit for our softball program. The Home Run Boneyard will be a fun and unique addition to the Collins Family Softball Complex and will help enhance the overall experience for our fans and student-athletes."
In addition to the naming rights partnership, Bobby Bones has pledged to make a $100 donation to Saint Francis Children's Hospital for every Tulsa Softball home run hit into the Bobby Bones Left Field Boneyard. The initiative adds a charitable element to every big offensive moment, allowing the Golden Hurricane's success on the field to make a meaningful impact throughout the Tulsa community.
The naming rights gift for the Bobby Bones Left Field Boneyard represents an exciting partnership between Tulsa Athletics and Bobby Bones. The collaboration highlights Bones' support of Golden Hurricane Softball and further demonstrates the growing momentum surrounding the program as it enters a new era.
Bones, an award-winning radio host, television personality, author, and entertainer, has long been a supporter of collegiate athletics and initiatives that positively impact communities and student-athletes.
"I'm excited to see the growth of Golden Hurricane under Coach Gasso!," remarked Bobby Bones. "Let's hope for many many Golden Hurricane homeruns!"
As Tulsa Softball enters a new era under Head Coach DJ Gasso, the addition of the Bobby Bones Home Run Boneyard further reflects the excitement and momentum surrounding the program.
