Four Tulsa Players Earn Conference USA Accolades

Tulsa, Oklahoma - Tulsa women's soccer players Kayla Chambers, Jennifer Kacergis, Katie Bykowski and Rachel Garcia all earned Conference USA accolades, as announced today by the league office. Chambers picked up all-C-USA second team honors, while Kacergis was selected to the third team, and Bykowski and Garcia were each named to the freshman team.
Chambers, a senior from Highland Village, Texas, started all 19 games this season, netted five goals and one assist for 11 points from her defender position, and helped TU post seven shutouts on the year. She registered nine goals and two assists for 20 points while starting 71 of 77 career contests.
A senior from Plano, Texas, Kacergis started 14 of 15 games this season after missing four games due to an injury. She led TU with a team-high five goals and two assists for 12 points, while attempting 44 shots and posting a .523 shots-on-goal percentage. Kacergis posted 23 goals and 17 assists for 63 points in 75 career games.
Bykowski, a freshman from Tulsa, Okla., started all 19 games this season, logged all 1,753:38 minutes in goal and posted seven shutouts. She allowed just 21 goals for a 1.08 goals-against average and recorded 93 saves for an .816 saves percentage.
A freshman from Rockwall, Texas, Garcia started 18 of 19 contests this year. She posted two goals and two assists for six points from her defender position, and helped the Golden Hurricane record seven shutouts.
