Tulsa Soccer Teams Host Double-Header on Friday Night

The University of Tulsa women's and men's soccer teams will host a double-header on Friday, October 15th at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium.

Tulsa, Oklahoma - The University of Tulsa women's and men's soccer teams will host a double-header on Friday, October 15th at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium. The women will take on Memphis beginning at 5:00 p.m., while the men will host Marshall at 8:00 p.m. Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for youth (12 and under).

The women's soccer team (6-8, 1-5 C-USA) is led by freshman Claire Nicholson with seven goals for 14 points, while sophomore Stephanie Aitken has seven points and freshman Kelsey Killion has six points. Katie Bykowski has logged 1,255 minutes in goal, picked up 58 saves and has three shutouts this season.

Memphis' (10-3-1, 4-1-1 C-USA) Taylor Isenhower has a team-best five goals and three assists for 13 points, but Ashley Berra is close behind with 10 points and Rasheeda Ansari has nine points. The Tigers have combined for 28 goals and seven shutouts on the year.

Tulsa will honor women's soccer senior Brandi Neilson after the game. Neilson is a four-year letterwinner and starter, and has scored three goals and had five assists for 11 career points. She has served as team captain this season, and has truly been a leader both on and off the field.

On the men's side, the 12th-ranked Golden Hurricane has tallied a 7-3 overall record and is 1-1 in Conference USA play. Austin Neil has a team-high eight goals for 16 points and Ashley McInnes has five goals and four assists for 14 points.

Marshall (7-4-2, 2-3 C-USA) is led by Tom Jackson with three goals and four assists for 10 points, while Jordan Hilgefort has eight points. Daniel Withrow has logged over 1,230 minutes in goal, picked up just 38 saves and has five shutouts on the year.

Tulsa and the Thundering Herd have met on the soccer pitch seven times, with the Golden Hurricane winning six of those meetings.
