ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) - Justin Hurtt scored 20 points and Jordan Clarkson added 19 to lead Tulsa to an, 80-63, win over Cal State Northridge Sunday afternoon in the consolation final of the 76 Classic at Anaheim Arena.

Joe Richard scored a season-high 10 points and grabbed six rebounds, and was 5-for-5 from the floor, as the Golden Hurricane shot 50 percent for the game to improve to 4-2 on the season.

Hurtt was 7-for-11 in the game, and Clarkson made 10-of-11 free throws. TU made eight three pointers and shot 47 percent from long range. Cal State Northridge (2-4) was led by Lenny Daniel, who scored 24 points.

"We played with a lot of energy and passion the past two games," Tulsa Head Coach Doug Wojcik said. "We had a lot of passion against Stanford, and now you're playing a one o'clock game (a different time for us) following a day off. We had lot of passion against Northridge. I'm really proud of them for that. We did a good job rebounding the basketball, and we did a great job shooting the basketball. We played the last 10 minutes of the game without our best post player. I think our defense was pretty alert. That kid (Lenny) Daniel was pretty tough on us.

"We talked all week about going from good to great. Good trip to a great trip and being 2-1, having to play, in my opinion, the most talented team first. We had a great week."

With a lead hovering between 10 and 13 points for the first half of the second period, Tulsa extended its lead to 20 points with a 16-5 run. The run was jump-started by a Hurtt three-pointer with 10:56 left, one of four in the game for him.

From there, Cal State Northridge never got closer than 15 points, and TU cruised to the 17-point win to cap a 2-1 tournament.

After playing three games in four days, the Golden Hurricane will have six days off before it travels to Little Rock, Ark., to play UALR on Dec. 5 at 2 p.m.

Tulsa's 11-point halftime lead dwindled to eight points at the 17:01 mark, as the Hurricane scored just two free throws in the first four minutes of the half. TU's first field goal came with 15:33 remaining when Clarkson tipped in his own miss to extend Tulsa's lead to, 45-35.

After a timeout with 14:41 left, the Golden Hurricane scored on three straight trips down the floor. Richard hit a hook shot in the paint, Clarkson made a three-pointer, and Steven Idlet hit a jumper to make the score, 52-39.

Tulsa led, 41-30 at halftime, led by Hurtt's 14 first-half points. TU shot 57 percent from the floor in the first period.

Tulsa built up an early, 10-2, lead, and led, 21-10, with 11:27 left in the first half. Cal State Northridge cut the lead to, 23-15, with 8:34 remaining when TU went dry for three minutes.

Hurtt then hit a three-pointer to put the Hurricane ahead, 26-17, and then another at the 4:19 mark to put TU up, 33-21.
