TULSA, Okla. - The University of Tulsa softball team signed three players - Jodi Edmiston, Amy Lynn Harrison and Julie Kernen - for the 2012 season.

Edmiston is a utility player, who played centerfield and shortstop at Haskell High School in Tulsa. A four-year letterwinner, she was a 2010 Oklahoma All-State selection, and two-time All-Big 8 Conference Most Valuable Player. For her career, Edmiston batted .431 with 196 hits, 150 runs scored, 74 RBI, 33 doubles, 14 triples and 110 stolen bases. As a senior, she led her team to the State Qualifier round, and helped the team to a State Runner-up finish as a freshman.

Harrison is a catcher from Claremore Sequoyah. She was a four-year letterwinner and 2010 Oklahoma All-State selection, as well as a three-time All-Will Rogers Conference performer. She hit .498 as a senior, earning all-conference honors, and hit .493 as a junior on her way to being named the MVP of the Will Rogers Conference.

Kernen is a corner infielder from Oakville High School in St. Louis, Mo. She was a four-year letterwinner in softball, as well as a three-year letterwinner in track and field, and a two-year letterwinner in basketball. As a senior, she led her team to the Missouri State Championship, earning all-state honors after hitting .536, with .606 on-base percentage and a .917 slugging percentage with 45 hits, 14 doubles and 35 RBI. Also a First-Team All-State infielder as a sophomore and junior, and was a Second-Team All-State infielder as a freshman.
