Week of April 4 - 10
Senior Alexandra Kichoutkin (Women's Tennis) has maintained a 3.00 grade-point average in electrical engineering. The New York, N.Y., native broke the school record for career doubles victories at The University of Tulsa with an 8-3 win at No. 1 doubles over Oral Roberts Sunday. She won her 89th-career doubles match to move past Aleksandra Durska (1999-03). Kichoutkin won all three doubles matches this past week and is now on an eight-match win streak with Jo-Anne Karaitiana. She also won two singles matches this week.

MEN'S GOLF
Competed at the Morris Williams Intercollegiate
(Tulsa finished 13th at the Morris Williams Intercollegiate with a score of 931 at the par-71 University of Texas Golf Club. Three Hurricane golfers finished in a tie for 35th place with 232 scores, as junior Stephen Carney and sophomore Chris Worrell had final round totals of 74. Freshman Johannes Veerman carded a score of 73 to close out the tournament. Junior Andre Tourinho finished in 57th and freshman John Young Kim placed 71st.)

SOFTBALL (32-9, 13-2 C-USA)
Defeated Wichita State 4-1
(The Golden Hurricane started its five-game home stand with a solid victory over WSU. TU scored in three of the first four innings and cruised to a win in the first match of a doubleheader. Sophomore centerfielder Caitlin Everett, freshman right fielder/pitcher Aimee Creger and freshman left fielder Shelby Blanton all had two hits to pace Tulsa, who outhit the Shockers 10-5. Creger drove in one run, scored twice and picked up a save after striking out the side in the seventh inning. Sophomore pitcher Lacey Middlebrooks picked up her eighth win of the season after allowing just one unearned run on five hits in six innings of work.)

Defeated Wichita State 5-0 (Tulsa recorded seven hits from seven different batters, and the Golden Hurricane plated five runs in a 5-0 rout of the Shockers to complete the sweep. Senior first baseman Kelly Chapman hit a two-run homer, and Middlebrooks blasted a solo shot in the win over Wichita State. Senior Jordan Kinard pitched a complete game shutout, allowing just four hits and striking out 16.)

Defeated Southern Miss 8-3 (Chapman led the way with two home runs and three RBI in a winning effort over the Golden Eagles. Tulsa scored eight runs in all three weekend victories over Southern Miss, and Chapman led the way in the first game. Everett and sophomore shortstop Samantha Cobb both scored twice. Creger moved to 15-1 in the circle after allowing just three runs (two earned) and five hits in seven innings.)

Defeated Southern Miss 8-0 (5 innings) (Freshman third baseman Jill Barrett was 3-for-3 with two RBI and one run scored in leading Tulsa to a run-rule over USM. Cobb also had two of TU's 10 hits, and Kinard threw a no-hitter. She was one walk away from throwing a perfect game, and she also struck out four to win her eighth game of the season. The win gave coach John Bargfeldt his 200th-career victory at Tulsa.)

Defeated Southern Miss 8-5 (Chapman was 3-for-4, drove in one and scored twice to help lead Tulsa to the series sweep over Southern Miss. Barrett and sophomore catcher Cassidy Bowen each had two hits, Barrett hit a home run and Bowen recorded three runs batted in and two runs scored. Tulsa had a scare in the fifth inning when USM scored four runs to take a 5-4 lead, but the Golden Hurricane answered with four runs in the home half of the fifth to earn the victory. Middlebrooks allowed five runs and six hits in five innings to earn her ninth win, and Kinard threw a perfect last two innings to pick up her first save of the year. She struck out 10 and allowed just two walks. The win was the 500th in program history.)

MEN'S TENNIS (15-6, 6-0 C-USA) Nationally Ranked No. 35
Defeated No. 39 Rice 5-2
(TU won what could be a preview of the C-USA Championship match next week. Rice, the defending C-USA Champions, defeated Tulsa twice last year by identical 4-3 scores and the two schools have met in the championship match each of the last five years. In this installment of the rivalry, TU got the better of the Owls by earning the doubles point and picking up victories in four of the six singles matches. Sophomore Marcelo Arevalo defeated No. 97 Harry Fowler and also won his doubles match with freshman Japie de Klerk. De Klerk lost his first-career singles match, falling to 19-1 for his career. Junior Ashley Watling and sophomore Clifford Marsland both won twice, and sophomore Tristan Jackson picked up a victory a No. 6 singles.)

WOMEN'S TENNIS (21-2, 2-0 C-USA) Nationally Ranked No. 19 (highest in school history)
Defeated Louisville 6-1
(The Golden Hurricane won all but one match in a 6-1 victory over Louisville. Seniors Alexandra Kichoutkin and Jo-Anne Karaitiana won at No. 1 doubles and No. 1 and No. 6 singles. Junior Ewa Szatkowska also won twice.)

Defeated Oral Roberts 7-0 (Tulsa defeated ORU twice on April 10, and in the first meeting the Golden Hurricane won all six singles matches in straight sets. TU won all three doubles matches by identical scores of 8-1. Usual contributors like Kichoutkin, junior Anastasia Erofeeva and freshman Sam Vickers all won. Junior Bonny Davidson and freshmen Maria Sant'Anna and Anamaria Candanoza all won singles matches, as well.)

Defeated Oral Roberts 7-0 (With an 8-3 victory at No. 1 doubles, Kichoutkin won her 89th-career doubles match, giving her sole possession of the all-time record at Tulsa. Davidson and Sant'Anna picked up their second singles victory of the day, and junior Caroline Beaulieu and sophomore Meredith Burns also picked up singles wins. Sophomore Michelle Farley won her first-career match at No. 1 singles. Beaulieu and Burns also won at No. 3 doubles.)
