The University of Tulsa women's soccer schedule features 11 home contests at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium, nine teams that finished the 2010 season with double-digit wins and three NCAA Tournament teams from a year ago, including National Champion Notre Dame, as announced today by Head Coach Kyle Cussen.

TU will kick off the 2011 season against cross-town rival Oral Roberts on Aug. 19th on the ORU campus. Tulsa has a 13-4-4 advantage in the all-time series, including a 4-0 win last season.

Up next, the Golden Hurricane hosts the Tulsa Invitational, featuring ORU, Sam Houston State, Stephen F. Austin and TU. Tulsa will face the Jacks on Aug. 26th and the Bearkats on Aug. 28th. The Golden Hurricane has a 2-1-1 lead in the series against SFA, while this will be the first meeting with SHSU.

Tulsa will have its first true road test against National Champion Notre Dame on Sept. 2nd in South Bend, Ind., at the UND Classic. The Fighting Irish tallied a 21-2-2 overall record and finished the 2010 campaign ranked No. 1 by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. The Golden Hurricane will also take on Western Michigan, which recorded a 10-7-5 mark last season, in the Classic on Sept. 4th. UND, ranked No. 2 at the time, recorded a 2-0 win in the only previous match-up in 2000, while this is the first meeting with the Broncos.

TU will continue its road swing at Missouri State on Sept. 9th and at Northwestern State on Sept. 11th. Tulsa earned wins against both of these teams last season and owns a 7-5-1 advantage in the series with the Bears, but it is the Demons who have won three of the four previous meetings with the Golden Hurricane.

Tulsa returns home to host six-straight games, including Utah State on Sept. 16th and Southern Utah on Sept. 18th to close out the non-conference slate. This will be TU's first meeting with both the Aggies and Thunderbirds on the women's soccer pitch.

The Golden Hurricane will open up Conference USA action with home games against Southern Miss on Sept. 23rd, UCF on Sept. 25th, Houston on Sept. 30th and Rice on Oct. 2nd. The Knights won the C-USA regular season title last season with a 15-5-3 overall record and advanced to the NCAA Tournament second round, while Houston also posted double-digit victories with a 12-5-4 mark. Tulsa has won all five meetings with the Golden Eagles, while UCF, Houston and Rice all have the lead in the series with TU.

Tulsa will face UAB and Memphis on Oct. 7th and Oct. 9th, respectively. The Tigers won the C-USA tournament title, advanced to the NCAA Tournament and finished the season ranked No. 24 by Soccer America in 2010. The Golden Hurricane has a 3-2-1 lead in the series with the Blazers, while the Tigers have a 4-1-1 advantage over TU.

East Carolina comes to town on Oct. 14th, followed by Marshall on Oct. 16th. The Pirates have won all five meetings against Tulsa, while the Golden Hurricane has a 3-2 lead in the series with the Thundering Herd.

Tulsa will close out the regular season with a pair or road contests against UTEP on Oct. 21 and Colorado College on Oct. 23rd before taking on SMU on Oct. 28th. TU picked up a win over the Miners last season to even the series, 7-7-1, while the Tigers and Mustangs have the lead in the all-time history with the Golden Hurricane.

Memphis will host the 2011 Conference USA Women's Soccer Championship, Nov. 2-6, at the Mike Rose Soccer Complex in Memphis, Tenn.
