Week of May 2 - 8
Sophomore Caitlin Everett (Softball) has maintained a 3.16 grade-point average in nursing. The Forney, Texas native had a .545 batting average to help lead Tulsa to a Conference USA regular-season championship this past weekend. The Golden Hurricane swept UTEP in El Paso, and Everett had two runs batted in and two runs scored in the three shutouts. The centerfielder had one stolen base and she scored the game-winning run in the last game of the series.

WOMEN'S GOLF
Competed at the NCAA West Regional
(Tulsa completed the season with an 18th-place performance at the NCAA West Regional. The Golden Hurricane finished the 54-hole tournament with a score of 940 at the par-72 Washington National Golf Club. Junior Sarah Elliot finished the tournament with a score of 233 for 58th place. Fellow junior Marita Engzelius finished in 63rd place with a 234 total, while sophomore Kristina Merkle finished in 89th place with a final score of 239. Kamryn Ruffin finished in 93rd place with a 240 total, while freshman Charlotte Brooks had a 54-hole total of 241 for 98th place.)

SOFTBALL (41-12, 19-5 C-USA)
Won at UTEP 2-0
(Freshman pitcher Aimee Creger threw a two-hit shutout as Tulsa picked up its first of three shutouts in El Paso. She struck out four and walked three to pick up her 21st victory of the season. Freshman third baseman Jill Barrett was 4-for-4 with one run scored to pace the Golden Hurricane, who outhit the Miners 10-2. Sophomore center fielder Caitlin Everett and junior second baseman Skylar Swanson drove home the two runs, which were scored by Barrett and junior Jessica Stoelke.)

Won at UTEP 9-0 (5 innings) (Senior pitcher Jordan Kinard picked up a three-hit shutout and TU outhit UTEP 13-3 as the Golden Hurricane picked up a 9-0 run-rule in the second game of a doubleheader. Freshman leftfielder Shelby Blanton was 3-for-3, and four other batters had two hits to lead Tulsa. Sophomore designated player Lacey Middlebrooks drove home three runs, and Blanton and sophomore catcher Cassidy Bowen both scored twice.)

Won at UTEP 4-0 (Creger had yet another spectacular performance in the circle as she threw a one-hit shutout to lead Tulsa to a co-Conference USA Regular Season Championship. She had seven strikeouts and one walk. Everett led the team with three hits, and sophomore shortstop Samantha Cobb drove home two runs in the winning effort.)

OUTDOOR TRACK
Competed at the Arkansas Twilight
(Senior Kelsey Klein won the Hammer with a distance of 49.92m. She also finished second in the Discus with a mark of 42.92m. Sophomore Chris O'Hare won the 800 meters with a personal-best time of 1:49.01, which was also the third-fastest time in school history. His mark was also the 29th-best mark posted in the NCAA this year. Senior Justin Duncan finished third in the same event by posting a personal-best time of 1:49.38, which was the fourth-fastest time in school history and the 37th-fastest time in the nation this year. Senior Casey Fanning placed third in the Javelin with a distance of 50.65m.)
