TU Women's Soccer Team Hosts Tulsa Invitational

Tulsa, Oklahoma - The Tulsa women's soccer team is hosting the Tulsa Invitational sponsored by Double Tree Warren Place on Friday and Sunday, Aug. 26th and 28th, respectively, at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium.

The Golden Hurricane (1-0) will take on Stephen F. Austin (0-1) on Friday beginning at 7:35 pm, and then on Sunday, SFA will face Oral Roberts (0-1-1) at 1:05 pm and TU will host Sam Houston State (1-1) at 3:30 pm.

Tulsa kicked off the season a week ago with a 1-0 win over cross-town rival Oral Roberts. The Hurricane returned 21 letterwinners, including nine starters, and added five newcomers to the roster. The returners list includes sophomore Claire Nicholson who had a team-high 11 goals and 22 points, classmate Kelsey Killion who had seven assists, and junior Katie Bykowski who ranks among TU's Top-10 in career goals-against average (1.07), goalkeeper shutouts (11) and saves (173).

Tulsa has a 2-1-1 advantage in the series against the Jacks, and this will be the first meeting between the Golden Hurricane and the Bearkats on the women's soccer pitch.
