TU Lettermen's Association Hosted the Spring Letter Award Presentation

The TU Lettermen's Association hosted the Spring Letter Award Presentation on April 9, 2013 in the ONEOK Club Lounge at H.A. Chapman Stadium to honor all student-athletes who lettered for the first time this past fall semester. The evening included remarks from Associate Athletic Director for Development Brian Scislo, the awarding of Letters and a special video entitled "Honor of Receiving a TU Letter" featuring former TU letter winners Ellis Jenkins (Men's Basketball `55), Sara (Dyer) Whaley (Softball `08), Brandon Diles (Football `06), Kate Jones (Women's Soccer `98), Ron Walker (Athletic Training ‘95), Heather Brooks (Women's Rowing `11) and G.J. Kinne (Football ‘12). The ceremony concluded with remarks from TU Lettermen's Association President, and past women’s soccer letter winner, Kate Jones.
Seven Golden Hurricane athletic programs were represented with letter jackets or blankets given out by Men’s Soccer Coach Tom McIntosh, Women’s Soccer Coach Kyle Cussen, Volleyball Coach Steve McRoberts, Men’s & Women’s Cross Country Coach Steve Gully, Football Coach Bill Blankenship, Men’s Basketball Director of Player Development Shea Seals, and Women’s Basketball Assistant Coach Britney Brown. In all, 59 student-athletes received their Varsity Letter Award for the first time during this special evening.
The next Letter Award Presentation, scheduled for this coming fall, will honor the student-athletes who letter this spring semester.
