Cross Country Opens 2013 Season with Hurricane XC Festival Saturday

The Golden Hurricane begins the 2013 cross country season with the Hurricane XC Festival Saturday.

TULSA, Okla. - The Tulsa cross country teams open the 2013 season Saturday when they play host to the Hurricane Cross Country Festival beginning at 8 a.m. at Mohawk Park.

The men's four-mile race begins at 8 a.m., followed by the women's two-mile run at 8:35 a.m.

The Golden Hurricane men are ranked No. 5 in the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Preseason Poll. TU will run against No. 1 Oklahoma State, Oklahoma and UL-Monroe.

The Hurricane women's squad will run against No. 21 Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, Missouri State and UL-Monroe.
