• Tulsa team captains were senior safety DeMarco Nelson, junior offensive lineman Garrett Stafford, junior defensive end Derrick Alexander.
• Senior defensive back DeMarco Nelson made his 45th start in 46 career games played.
• Garrett Stafford made his 20th consecutive start on the offense, while defensive starters Derrick Alexander and Michael Mudoh started their 18th consecutive games.
• Tulsa's lone senior on offense, Davis Walton, made his first 9th career start and first of the season.
• Junior linebacker Zik Asiegbu made his first career start.
• This is the fourth game this season that a Tulsa opponent has scored on their opening drive. Three have scored touchdowns - Oklahoma, Colorado State and Temple - and Florida Atlantic scored a field goal.
• This is the 36th straight game Tulsa has recorded a sack.
• Tulsa had their second blocked punt of the season by senior Luke Snider. First came from sophomore Matt Hickman against FAU.
• The 19-yard rushing touchdown by Zack Langer with 3:17 left in the first quarter was the first time Tulsa has scored in the first quarter this season.
• 19-yard touchdown run was longest touchdown run from line of scrimmage this season, previous was 4 yards from Langer against Texas State.
• 9-yard touchdown pass to Mandel Dixon in the second quarter was his first career touchdown reception.
• Today's 14 first-half points are the most this season since the opener against Tulane, when the Hurricane also scored 14.
• Craig Suits interception is the third of the season. Last was Kerwin Thomas at Colorado State, the other came in the season opener against Tulane when DeMarco Nelson's INT ended the game in overtime.
• Carl Salazar's missed 41-yard field goal in the second quarter ended his streak of 6 straight made attempts after missing the first two attempts of the season.
• Zack Langer's 113 yards marks his first career 100-yard game. It is the second 100-yard game for a Tulsa back this season, the first was James Flanders against Texas State.
• Keevan Lucas had his third 100-yard game of the season, and his career, with 109 yards. Others were against Tulane and Texas State. • Today's game was the second time this season that Tulsa has had a 100-yard receiver and 100-yard rusher in the same game. First was against Texas State, Lucas and James Flanders.
• Through the first four games, TU had only two takeaways. In the last two games, they have 4.
• Today is the second time this season that Tulsa has scored on the opening drive of the second half - first was against Oklahoma.
• 44-yard field goal in the 4th quarter is senior Carl Salazar's career-long. Previous was a 42-yarder against Tulane.
• The 44-yard field goal from Salazar with 14:54 left in the game gave Tulsa it's first lead in 24 quarters of regulation play this season. (Tulsa has led in two overtime games.)
• Dane Evans finished today with 0 interceptions for the first time this season. It was his second time in 14 career games without an interception, only other time he has gone a game without one was last year against North Texas.
• Today's 0-turnover game ends a streak of 48 games that Tulsa has turned the ball over.
