TULSA, Okla. – Two Tulsa Golden Hurricane football players, Lento Smith Jr. and Dominic Richardson, have signed undrafted free agent contracts following the conclusion of the 2026 NFL Draft.

Smith Jr. signed with the Baltimore Ravens, while Richardson inked a deal with the Dallas Cowboys.

Smith Jr. finished second on the team with 79 tackles from his safety position. He recorded a key interception that helped spark Tulsa's comeback from an 11-point deficit at Army on Nov. 22. He added four pass breakups and two tackles for loss. Against Oklahoma State, Smith Jr. totaled a season-high 10 tackles and started all 12 games in the defensive backfield.

Richardson paced the Golden Hurricane offense with 1,195 all-purpose yards this season. He became the 23rd player in school history to rush for 1,000 yards in a single season and the first since 2021. He totaled 1,065 rushing yards, the third-best mark in the American Conference, and rushed for a career-high 203 yards in Tulsa's comeback win at Army on Nov. 22. In addition to his rushing totals, Richardson added 20 receptions for 130 yards and scored five touchdowns on the season.
Both players now begin their professional careers as they report to their respective NFL organizations for rookie minicamps.
