Christina Holmes was named the American Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Rookie of the Week.Oct. 27, 2014

Providence, R.I. - Tulsa freshman Christina Holmes was named the American Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Rookie of the Week, as announced today by the league office.

Holmes, a forward from Yeadon, Pa., came in off the bench in both the 2-1 win over SMU and the 2-0 victory against Houston and recorded three goals. She netted one goal off of one shot in 33 minutes of action against the Mustangs, and had two goals off of two shots in 48 minutes against the Cougars.

Tulsa returns to action on Sunday, Nov. 2, in the American Athletic Conference Championship. TU earned the No. 5 seed and will play No. 4 UConn in the Quarterfinals beginning at 11:00 am Central at the Joseph J. Morrone Stadium in Storrs, UConn.
