Scott ran the five-mile race in 23:51.9, leading the five Golden Hurricane scorers that finished among the top-95 in the 200-runner race. The 18th-ranked Hurricane totaled 284 points, finishing eight points behind No. 16 North Carolina State. No. 19 Michigan won the men's race with 97 points.
Krieg ran a personal-best 5K time of 16:59.3, leading a group of TU runners that totaled 346 points, finishing among the top-87 in the 165-runner race. No. 12 New Mexico won the women's race with 49 points.
Senior Tim Rackers followed Scott with a 46th-place time of 24:07.6, and true freshmen Ben Preisner ran a 24:10.2 to finish 50th. Senior Dennis Hodapp ran a 24:21.6 to place 67th, and senior Danny Thater rounded out the TU scorers with a 95th-place finish time of 24:31.5
Freshman Nicole Lee followed Krieg with a 17:16.5 time to finish 69th. Sophomore Clara Langley finished 78th with a time of 17:21.0, true freshman Anna Bearss ran a 17:24.9 to place 84th, and senior Natasha Cockram rounded out the TU scoring with a 87th-place time of 17:25.5.
Freshman Adam Roderique ran a 25:09.3, freshman Kirk Smith ran a 25:14.4, and senior Peter Hodkinson ran a 25:15.10 for the Hurricane men. Sophomore Stacie Taylor finished 89th with a time of 17:27.0, sophomore Olivia Lopez placed 109th with a time of 17:40.4, sophomore Olivia O'Hare ran a 17:57.7, and freshman Danielle Medearis finished the race in 18:03.4 for the Tulsa women.
The Golden Hurricane men's and women's teams return to action Oct. 18 for the Pre-Nationals meet in Terre Haute, Ind.
